The Job Role

The job role: 

  • We require either a full-time or two part time qualified practitioner(s) to join our workplace family. (Full time at Budbrooke House is 08:00-18:00 four days a week and 08:00-13:00 one day. Part time hours can be flexible, dependant on the candidate). Unfortunately we cannot offer term time only positions.

  • The role includes providing high quality care and education to children between 0-5 years. You will be based in the baby and toddler nursery predominantly.

  • You will be responsible for a small group of key children and will regularly update their learning journals using our online system. Practitioners are responsible for forging strong relationships with parents/carers and should be confident in handing over each day.

  • At Budbrooke House we work together as a team to provide a warm and loving environment for all children. You may be required to cover different rooms in staff absence and should be able to be flexible with your approach.

  • Before employment commenced, you will be required to complete Child Protection, Safeguarding Children, British Values and Allergy awareness training. You will receive a login to a comprehensive training software. Safeguarding is deeply routed into our ethos and throughout your employment you are welcomed to further enhance your knowledge.                                  

 

About you: 

  • The applicant must possess a minimum of Level 2 Early Years qualification or above. We will only be responding to applications from qualified candidates.

  • Candidates should have the ability to work independently and as an effective part of our team. You should be reliable, pro-active, trustworthy, but most of all you should have a genuine love of children and want to nurture and inspire them to learn.
